Derby Zebra (Whistlis ejectus) Ah, the derby track. Home to a variety of wild animals. From the normally predatory Blocker, to the swift and graceful Jammer, to the aggressive and often temperamental Bench Manager. All live together in packs amongst one another, fulfilling their roles in the great derby circle of life.. Often, however, there will be dissonance within the pack and there enters the Derby Zebra. Most often noted by their black and white stripes, whistle, and often times a recent copy of the WFTDA rules manual, the Derby Zebra is both the law and the peace-keeper within the Derby Kingdom. Derby Zebras generally travel in herds of 7, circling both inside and outside of the pack, ready to employ the swift hoof of justice when needed. It is at times a thankless job, filled with disgruntled noises from within the pack, often mingled with the distinct sounds from another species within the Derby Kingdom: "The Derby Fan". The calm and stoic Derby Zebra takes this all in stride, however, for they are happy to be a part of such a tight knit and rewarding community. When not keeping the fair play and safety of the other species in mind, Derby Zebras can often be found at the nearest watering hole, mingling both with other species and within their herd, and often discussing bizarre game scenarios that only other Derby Zebras would find interesting.
